Award Description

This German Academic Exchange Service Scholarship is awarded for two-or-three month summer internships to conduct research at a German university. Undergraduate researchers are mentored by doctoral students and all lab work is conducted in English. 

Majors: Biology, chemistry, computer science, physics, earth sciences, and engineering, or closely related fields.

Award Details

DAAD Rise provides support for students to complete internships in STEM fields for 10 weeks - 3 months in Germany.

  • Undergraduates work with doctoral students & researchers at top labs across Germany
  • Working language is English
  • Monthly stipend of 861 Euros
  • Insurance package
  • International travel subsidy
  • 160 Euros for travel within Germany
  • Support to attend a conference in Heidelberg

Eligibility

Applicants must be enrolled undergraduate students (Sophomore - Senior) from North America, the U.K., and Ireland. Applicants must must display academic achievement in their selected field.

  • DAAD deadline: November 30, 2024
  • Notification: February/March 2025
