Oregon State University’s Bridget Price ('23, Honors Chemical Engineering and Bioresource Research) began her Fulbright grant in fall 2023 studying microalgae with Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands. Oregon State University’s National and Global Scholarships Advising office is pleased to announce that 4 students and recent graduates have been named finalists for the 2023-2024 Fulbright U.S. Student Program by the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, and 1 student has been named an Alternate.
Roberto Ponce Velez, an OSU junior in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences has been named a 2024 Udall Scholar in the Environment category. Also a 2024 Goldwater Scholar, Roberto is the first OSU student to receive both national honors. Additionally, Eliza Porter has been recognized by the Udall Foundation with an Honorable Mention in the Tribal Public Policy category. Eliza is a junior majoring in Environmental Sciences.
